Ukraine’s Zelenskyy slams Putin’s “impunity,” unveils summit plans
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced an ambitious series of international engagements aimed at fortifying Ukraine’s defence capabilities and intensifying global pressure on Russia in response to escalating hostilities.
In a statement shared via Telegram, Zelenskyy condemned recent Russian attacks that damaged dozens of residential buildings across multiple regions of Ukraine, describing them as deliberate acts of aggression by Russian President Vladimir Putin to assert impunity, Caliber.Az reports.
“Overnight, dozens of residential buildings were struck across various regions of our country. Efforts to extinguish fires are ongoing. These are deliberate Russian strikes. Putin is demonstrating his impunity. This clearly demands a response from the world,” Zelenskyy declared, underscoring the urgency of coordinated international action.
The Ukrainian leader outlined a packed diplomatic agenda for the coming days, beginning with his attendance at the Ukraine–Nordic-Baltic States summit in Denmark. The summit is expected to yield “tangible enhancements” for Ukraine’s defence and strategic partnerships. Later today, Zelenskyy will participate in a bilateral meeting in France to further align efforts with key allies.
In addition, Zelenskyy revealed plans for a new “coalition format” involving willing partners, alongside initiatives to deepen ties with the European Union and the United States. These steps are intended to bolster Ukraine’s resilience and amplify diplomatic and military support in the face of ongoing Russian aggression.
