Armenia, EU step up partnership talks ahead of Yerevan summit
Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan has held talks with European Commission Vice-President and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas during a working visit to Brussels.
The meeting focused on advancing the strategic partnership agenda between Armenia and the European Union, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
The sides discussed issues related to the consistent implementation of the strategic agenda of the Armenia–EU partnership.
The officials also reviewed preparations for the upcoming Armenia–EU summit, scheduled to take place in Yerevan in May, highlighting their agreement to implement programs aimed at delivering tangible benefits for Armenian citizens.
Mirzoyan and Kallas further discussed initiatives to strengthen democratic resilience, describing it as a key component of the values-based partnership and broader strategic agenda.
They also underscored the importance of expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in areas including economic and transport connectivity, as well as the energy sector.
