Ukraine says Russian strikes target port logistics and rail links photo
Russian strikes on Ukraine’s ports and railway infrastructure are continuing.
Russian forces are persisting in their efforts to disrupt the logistics of Ukraine’s seaports and undermine the country’s economy and food security, Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration and Minister for the Development of Communities and Territories, Oleksii Kuleba, said.

According to Kuleba, ports in the Odesa Region were subjected to continuous drone attacks throughout the night. The strikes damaged grain elevators, warehouses belonging to civilian enterprises, a barge, and vessels flying the flags of Slovakia and the Republic of Palau. Emergency responders are extinguishing fires at the impact sites, while port personnel continue to assess the damage. Partial power outages have been reported, and repair crews are working to restore electricity supplies.
A terminal in Mykolaiv Region was also hit by Russian drones, resulting in damage to a vessel flying the Liberian flag. No casualties were reported, and restoration work is underway.
In addition, the attacks affected railway infrastructure in the Lviv Region, striking the Kovel station. A locomotive and a freight railcar were damaged, and the blast wave shattered windows at a locomotive depot workshop. Employees of Ukrzaliznytsia, Ukraine’s national railway operator, are working to eliminate the consequences of the attack.
