Ukraine strikes Russia's largest oil refinery in Yaroslavl PHOTO / VIDEO
During the night of July 6, Ukrainian drones reportedly struck the Slavneft-YANOS oil refinery in Yaroslavl. Residents reported a series of explosions on the refinery's premises.
According to RBC-Ukraine, citing OSINT channels, residents said the attack on the refinery was successful.
According to eyewitnesses, explosions continued for several minutes following the strike. Videos and photos from the scene have been circulating online.
The Novo-Yaroslavl Oil Refinery (Slavneft-YANOS) is one of Russia's five largest oil refineries.
The facility processes approximately 15 million tonnes of crude oil annually.
The refinery is a key asset of Slavneft Oil and Gas Company (NGK Slavneft). Nearly all of the company's shares—99.7%—are equally owned by Rosneft and Gazprom.
