Ukrainian-Crimean Tatar group claims to burn down Russian air defence tower PHOTO / VIDEO
Agents of the Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar military movement Atesh have set fire to a communications tower in Moscow Oblast, allegedly belonging to a Russian air defence unit.
According to the group's Telegram channel, the tower is used by a unit of the 5th Air Defence Missile Division of the Russian Aerospace Forces, per Caliber.Az.
The source claimed the facility provided radio-relay communications and was used to transmit information between command and subordinate units, as well as to house electronic warfare equipment.
The post suggested that the damage could have affected the coordination and command of air defence units in Russia’s central region. However, there are no independent confirmations of these claims at the time of publication.
