Ukrainian drone strikes hit Russia’s Rostov region, three injured

Ukrainian forces carried out overnight drone attacks targeting several locations in Russia’s Rostov region, leaving three people injured in the city of Novocherkassk, according to regional authorities.

Acting Governor Yury Slyusar said on Telegram that Ukrainian drones struck the cities of Novocherkassk and Shakhty, as well as the Myasnikovsky, Rodionovo-Nesvetaisky, and Aksaysky districts, according to Caliber.Az reports.

In Novocherkassk, three people were injured in the attacks. Two women were hurt while walking along Vokzalnaya Street and were taken to the city’s emergency hospital with moderate and minor injuries. A man from Aksayskaya Street was hospitalised in critical condition with shrapnel wounds to the abdomen.

Slyusar noted that falling drone debris caused fires in several areas of Novocherkassk. All blazes were extinguished quickly, but four cars were damaged by shrapnel.

He also reported that one drone crashed on Stepan Razin Slope without detonating, while another unexploded warhead became lodged in a tree on Oktyabrskaya Street. Explosive ordnance disposal teams were dispatched to both locations.

In Rodionovo-Nesvetaysky District, a house and nearby dry grass caught fire on Belinsky Street in Bolshyekrepinskaya settlement. The blaze, which spread across 300 square metres, was brought under control. No injuries were reported, though a neighbouring house sustained damage to its roof and windows.

In Myasnikovsky district, a fire broke out in a gardening cooperative, while in others, including “Mechta” and “Orion,” explosions shattered windows and damaged roofs. One unoccupied house in Orion suffered structural damage. No casualties were reported in these incidents.
