Ukrainian drone strikes in Russia’s Belgorod region leave two injured
Ukrainian forces carried out a series of drone strikes in Russia’s Belgorod region, resulting in damage to civilian infrastructure and multiple injuries, according to regional authorities.
The head of the region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, said on Telegram that a drone struck a bus in the village of Nikolskoye. The driver reportedly managed to escape moments before the vehicle was engulfed in flames and completely destroyed. No further details were provided on the driver’s condition.
Additional attacks were reported across the region. In Shebekino, a drone targeted a commercial facility, causing damage.
In the village of Melikhovo, a woman sustained blast-related injuries and barotrauma after a drone was intercepted. She was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Separately, a resident of the village of Arkhangelskoye was seriously injured during shelling. He was admitted to intensive care with blast injuries, wounds to the chest and abdomen, and a fractured rib.
