Ukrainian envoy thanks Azerbaijan for aid in "difficult times"

Ukraine expresses gratitude to Azerbaijan for providing another humanitarian aid shipment, said Ukrainian ambassador to Azerbaijan, Yuriy Husyev.

“I want to express our deepest gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and the government of Azerbaijan for this very important and much-needed aid and support for Ukraine. We are using this electrical equipment to restore our entire power system,” the diplomat said, emphasising that this is already the second shipment of electrical equipment aid this year, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

The ambassador highlighted that Ukraine values Azerbaijan’s support and always upholds the country’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.

“We appreciate that Azerbaijan supports us during this historically difficult and dark period in our history,” he concluded.

On August 11, 2025, President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree according to which electrical equipment worth $2 million will be sent to Ukraine as part of humanitarian assistance.
