Ukrainian leader travels to Cyprus for EU ceremony and diplomatic talks video

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has arrived in Cyprus for a series of high-level engagements.

According to Ukrainian media, presidential spokesperson Serhiy Nykyforov reported that Zelenskyy’s program includes talks with Cyprus President Nikos Christodoulides as well as a meeting with Archbishop Georgios, the head of the Church of Cyprus.

During the visit, Zelensky will also participate in the official ceremony launching Cyprus’s presidency of the Council of the European Union. In addition, he is scheduled to meet with European Council President António Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
