Mein Schiff 4 joins wave of liners heading for Hormuz
Another cruise liner has set course for the Strait of Hormuz, as maritime movements in the region continue to intensify, according to TASS.
Vessel tracking data shows that the cruise ship Mein Schiff 4, operated by the German company TUI Cruises, departed its anchorage and began sailing toward the Strait of Hormuz.
The vessel follows earlier departures along the same route, including Mein Schiff 5 from the same operator, as well as Celestyal Journey and MSC Euberia, all of which have headed toward the strategically significant waterway.
According to its route documentation, Mein Schiff 4 is expected to call at an intermediate port to clarify its onward route before continuing its journey.
With these movements, only one major cruise liner remains docked in the Persian Gulf — the passenger vessel Aroya, owned by a Saudi Arabian company and currently located at its home port in Dammam.
