UNESCO endorses Odesa’s inclusion in World Heritage List

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) supported the proposal of Ukraine to include the country’s Odesa City in the World Heritage List.

Experts are already involved to expedite the consideration of the proposal by the member countries of the World Heritage Committee, RBC-Ukraine reports, citing the UNESCO press service.

The committee will also be encouraged to list the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the cities of Kyiv and Lviv as World Heritage in Danger.

At the same time, the organization will assist Ukraine in restoring the museums in Odesa damaged by Russian forces.
