Unusually abruptly ousted ex-Chinese FM had affair with famous TV reporter

Reports point to China’s ousted foreign minister Qin Gang having had an extramarital affair with a high-profile Chinese television presenter.

The Financial Times reported on this news on September 26, in an attempt to discover the circumstances surrounding Minister Qin's sudden exit.

Minister Qin was abruptly removed from his post without any explanation offered by Beijing and vanished from public view in July.

The publication, referring to several sources close to the TV reporter, notes that she had a child last year with the help of a surrogate mother in the US, which did not reveal the identity of the father.
