US aviation sanctions disrupt Iranian flights to Azerbaijan UPDATED
Flights operated by Iranian airlines to Azerbaijan have been temporarily suspended as of September 22 due to US sanctions targeting Iran’s aviation sector.
The State Civil Aviation Agency under Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Digital Development and Transport told local media that the suspension is linked to restrictions imposed by the United States on Iran’s aviation industry.
“Due to the restrictions currently in effect, passengers are advised to contact the relevant airlines and the ticket sales points where their tickets were purchased,” the agency said.
