US CENTCOM: 85 commercial vessels redirected under Iran naval blockade
US Central Command (CENTCOM) says it has redirected 85 commercial vessels as part of ongoing maritime enforcement operations targeting Iranian shipping routes in the Gulf region.
In a statement posted on X, CENTCOM said it continues to “strictly enforce the U.S. blockade against Iranian ports,” adding that the measure is aimed at ensuring full compliance by commercial shipping operating in the area, Caliber.Az reports.

The operation, which Washington launched on April 13, targets vessels entering or leaving Iranian ports in the Arabian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz.
CENTCOM said more than 15,000 US troops, over 200 aircraft, and 20 warships are involved in enforcing the operation.
