US completes 12th consecutive night of strikes on Iran, reports casualties

US Central Command (CENTCOM) has announced the completion of a series of military strikes against Iran that continued for 12 consecutive nights.

The operation targeted Iranian military assets, including naval capabilities, missile and drone storage sites, coastal surveillance positions and air defence systems, Caliber.Az reports.

“The strikes further degrade Iran's ability to attack civilian mariners and commercial vessels,” the command stated.

At the same time, Iranian Telegram channels reported multiple explosions in several cities across the country. According to those reports, strikes were recorded near the port of Bandar Mahshahr, as well as in Sirik, Ramshir and Bushehr.

Iranian authorities later said that US forces had struck the Shalamcheh border crossing on the frontier with Iraq. Iranian media said that two people were killed and 11 others were injured in the attack.

Meanwhile, Kuwaiti authorities announced that they had intercepted Iranian drones targeting the country.
