US completes new round of strikes against Iran – CENTCOM
The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has completed a third round of strikes against Iran this week, according to a statement posted by the command on X.
The strikes were carried out in response to an Iranian attack on a commercial vessel in the Strait of Hormuz, CENTCOM added.
The operation followed an assault by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on the Cyprus-flagged container ship M/V GFS Galaxy, which sustained significant damage and caught fire. One crew member was reported missing.

“During three nights of strikes this week, CENTCOM has struck more than 300 targets at the direction of the Commander in Chief to degrade Iran’s ability to attack civilian mariners and commercial vessels freely transiting the strait. Commercial vessel transits through the vital international maritime corridor continue,” CENTCOM noted.
Earlier, the IRGC Navy announced the full closure of the Strait of Hormuz until the United States ends its intervention in the region. According to the force, several vessels were traveling along an “unauthorized route,” one of which was attacked and stopped. The IRGC blamed Washington for the incident.
