US doubles funding for TRIPP+ Enterprise Fund

The United States has doubled its funding commitment to the TRIPP+ Enterprise Fund, increasing it from $201 million to $402 million, according to data from HigherGov.

The fund was established on January 26 in the U.S. state of Delaware, two weeks after a meeting in Washington between Ararat Mirzoyan and Marco Rubio. Following the talks, the sides outlined plans to create a company to oversee infrastructure development along the Transport Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP), which runs through southern Armenia.

Under the arrangement, the TRIPP Development Company will manage the project. The Republic of Armenia will hold a 26% stake, while 74% will be owned by the U.S. side through TRIPP Development Company US, incorporated in Delaware.

The TRIPP+ Enterprise Fund, also registered in Delaware on the same date, is headed by businessman Konstantin Sokolov, described as a supporter of the current U.S. Republican administration and, in particular, of Donald Trump.

According to HigherGov data, an amendment made on July 16 formalized the increased funding, with the U.S. government committing a total grant of $402 million to the fund. The financing is scheduled to be disbursed over nearly 11 years, through December 31, 2036.

The TRIPP initiative stems from a trilateral meeting held in Washington on August 8, 2025, involving Trump, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The leaders signed a joint declaration on a peace settlement between Azerbaijan and Armenia, which included plans to establish a transport corridor linking mainland Azerbaijan with its exclave of Nakhchivan via Armenian territory.
