US envoy discusses bilateral relations with Armenian security chief
Armen Grigoryan, Secretary of the Armenian Security Council, has discussed bilateral cooperation issues with Christine Queen, the new US Ambassador to Armenia.
The press service of the Security Council said Grigoryan congratulated the diplomat on her appointment and stressed the need to strengthen bilateral relations, Caliber.Az reports, quoting Armenian media.
"The sides shared views on advancing the Armenian-American agenda, and the development and consolidation of democracy were identified as one of the priority areas," the statement said.
Earlier, the US ambassador held talks with Armenian President Vahagn Khachatryan and Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.
Christine Quinn is a career diplomat who has served as US Chargé d'Affaires ad interim in Ukraine, a post she has held since January 2020. Before that, she was deputy US ambassador to France and the embassy's economic adviser.
