US expands sanctions on Iran, targeting companies, vessels

The United States Department of the Treasury announced on February 25 the expansion of its sanctions regime against Iran, adding new individuals, companies, and vessels to its restricted list.

According to the Treasury, the updated sanctions list now includes 20 individuals and legal entities, as well as 12 ships. Many of the targeted companies are registered in Iran, Türkiye, Panama, the United Arab Emirates, and other countries, and are linked to maritime shipping operations.

The department also confirmed that four individuals are directly affected by the new measures.
