US military helicopters make emergency landings in western Japan

On October 16, three US military helicopters were forced to make emergency landings at a commercial airport in western Japan, the Japanese Defence Ministry has confirmed.

The aircraft touched down at around 2:25 pm at Takamatsu Airport in Kagawa Prefecture. At this stage, no further details about the incident have been released, Caliber.Az reports per Japanese media.

In Japan, minor incidents involving US military aircraft stationed in the country occur from time to time, causing concern and dissatisfaction among the local population and regional authorities.
