US President Biden labels Putin "butcher," vows to protect Ukraine
During a speech to voters in North Carolina, US President Joe Biden once again took aim at Russian President Vladimir Putin, labelling him a "butcher" and pledging to protect Ukraine from Russian aggression.
The remarks, posted on the White House website, underscored Biden's strong stance on the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, Caliber.Az reports.
Addressing the audience, Biden outlined his proposal to increase income taxes for wealthy citizens, asserting that such measures could generate significant revenue for the federal budget over the next decade.
“Imagine what we could do with that. We could fundamentally slash the federal deficit. We could make sure there’s home care. We could do so many things — consequential — including finally making sure that we take care of Ukraine from that butcher Putin," Biden remarked.
This latest rebuke of Putin comes after Biden previously referred to him as a "crazy son of a bitch" during a fundraiser for his re-election campaign in February 2024, further underscoring the tense relationship between the two leaders.
