US-Russia talks on Ukraine making slow but steady headway—foreign ministry

The negotiation process between Russia and the United States on a settlement in Ukraine is progressing slowly but in the right direction, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova told a briefing.

“In the negotiation process on the Ukrainian settlement—I am referring specifically to negotiations with the United States—we are seeing slow, yet steady, forward movement,” Zakharova said, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

She emphasized that Russia remains ready to continue collaboration with the US within the framework established by the Alaska summit. Zakharova also urged the American administration to take more proactive steps to prevent attempts to undermine or derail the negotiation process.
