US, Saudi Arabia coordinate on Gulf security amid Iranian threats
Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, held a telephone conversation with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio to discuss regional security and ongoing threats in the Gulf, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
According to a statement on the ministry’s X account, the two officials reviewed recent Iranian attacks targeting Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries, exchanged views on preventive measures, and explored strategies to bolster the safety of citizens and residents across the region.

Prince Faisal also welcomed the US designation of the Sudanese Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization, stressing that Saudi Arabia supports any initiatives that advance stability and prosperity in the Gulf.
The ministry added that dialogue with international partners will continue to coordinate efforts aimed at ensuring security and achieving a peaceful resolution to regional tensions.
