US state department delegation arrives in Georgia

A delegation from the U.S. Department of State has arrived in Georgia for a series of meetings with political and civil society figures, the U.S. Embassy said.

According to the embassy, the visit will run through May 29 and includes planned discussions with government officials, opposition parties, business leaders, and religious representatives, Caliber.Az reports per Georgian media.

The delegation will focus on improving bilateral relations between United States and Georgia, as well as broader issues related to economic and social well-being in both countries.

“The meetings will focus on the need to improve bilateral relations between the two countries, as well as on enhancing the well-being of the Georgian and American peoples,” the U.S. Embassy said in a statement.
