US to allocate $4.5 billion to Ukraine for weapons
A senior Russian military official has said that the United States has already sent Ukraine $4 billion for weapons and is going to allocate another $4.5 billion.
Igor Kostyukov, the head of the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces made the statement at the Moscow Conference on International Security held within the framework of the Army-2022 forum, Gazeta.Ru reports.
"The uncontrolled pumping of weapons by the Kyiv regime - the Biden administration has already allocated $4 billion for these purposes and plans to allocate another $4.5 billion - increases the risks of its falling into the hands of international terrorists," he said.
Earlier in August, the World Bank announced that the United States would provide Ukraine with another $4.5 billion to support its budget. The financial institution indicated that the amount will be transferred to Kyiv by the Agency for International Development (AMR), which operates in the structure of the US State Department.
