US transfers forensic laboratory to Georgia Photo

The US Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) has officially transferred a laboratory for the initial examination of victims to Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs. 

The handover was part of a collaborative project between the two agencies that has been ongoing for the past two years. The laboratory has now been integrated into the Ministry’s Department of Forensic Science, Caliber.Az reports via Georgian media.  

Georgian officials expressed their gratitude to the US partners, emphasising that the new facility will significantly enhance the forensic capabilities of the ministry, supporting more efficient and accurate criminal investigations.
