US vice president hails TRIPP initiative as game-changer for Armenia, regional peace
The TRIPP project (The Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity) is poised to deliver substantial economic benefits to the South Caucasus by unlocking trade and transit opportunities, US Vice President JD Vance said during a meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
Vance outlined plans for significant private investment through the TRIPP fund, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
The US vice president noted that through the TRIPP fund, substantial private capital would flow into Armenia, with initial investments of $5 billion and a second phase planning an additional $4 billion.
He added that the initiative will also allow Armenia to strengthen ties with neighboring countries in an unprecedented way.
Vance emphasized that this was wonderful for the prosperity of the Armenian people and also excellent for long-term peace in the region.
