US wants to assist Armenian armed forces Conference in Yerevan

Servicemen of the Armenian and US Armed Forces discussed opportunities to expand interaction during a conference in Yerevan, according to the American Embassy in Armenia.

“The possibilities of providing assistance to the Armenian Armed Forces and expanding interaction with partners, as well as issues of confronting modern challenges, were discussed with stakeholders in the defence sector of Armenia,” the embassy said in a statement, Caliber.Az reports citing Armenian media.

It is noted that representatives of the US Defense Department's Institute for Security Management took part in a working conference on defence transformation in the Armenian capital last week.

Chief of General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces Edvard Asryan participated in the seminar.
