USA, China, Germany lead ranking of most valuable country brands
A newly published analysis shows that the United States, China, and Germany remain the world's most valuable country brands.
This was concluded by the annual report conducted by an international private brand valuation consultancy, Caliber.Az reports.
Brand Finance estimated the brand value of the US to have reached nearly $37.33 trillion, a 15.7% increase from last year, while China's brand value grew by 2.9% to $20.53 trillion. Germany ranked third with a significant gap to the ranking leaders with $4.985 trillion (+0.3%).
This ranking entails a total of 192 countries and its valuation takes various factors into account, including GDP volume, investment and tourism attractiveness, policies and trade regulations, social aspects, and more.
The United Kingdom moved up to fourth place (+10.2% to $4.45 trillion), pushing Japan down to fifth (-4.5% to $4.41 trillion). They are followed by France (+10.4% to $3.89 trillion), India (-5.9% to $2.77 trillion), Canada (+2.2% to $2.73 trillion), and Italy (+3.3% to $2.4 trillion).
The report also analysed the positions of Eastern European and Central Asian countries. Russia rose to 23rd place from 25th last year, while Kazakhstan moved up to 43rd from 45th, Uzbekistan to 55th from 57th, Azerbaijan to 82nd from 84th, and Kyrgyzstan to 127th from 130th.
Meanwhile, Turkmenistan fell to 80th from 76th, Belarus dropped to 88th from 79th, and Armenia declined to 103rd from 102nd. Georgia remained in 97th place, while Tajikistan stayed at 136th.
