USAID administrator to meet with senior officials, journalists in Armenia

Administrator of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) Samantha Power has visited Armenia.

During the visit, Power will meet with senior Armenian officials, business community leaders, youth and journalists, Caliber.Az reports citing Power’s message on X.

“Just touched down in Yerevan. It’s a privilege to return to Armenia—my 2nd trip in the last year—at such a significant time in the expanding partnership between the US and Armenia. Looking forward to exploring deeper cooperation during my visit this week,” the message says.

The relationship between the US and Armenia is multifaceted, encompassing political, economic, cultural, and security dimensions, all aimed at fostering a stable, democratic, and prosperous Armenia. The US and Armenia have been working to enhance trade relations. The US is one of Armenia's significant trading partners, with trade agreements and investment frameworks fostering economic cooperation.
