Uzbek delegation holds high-level talks with Türkiye’s leadership
A delegation from Uzbekistan, led by Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov, met with President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan during a visit to the country.
According to Caliber.Az, Saidov announced the meeting on his Telegram channel.
The two sides “emphasised that bilateral relations between the two countries are demonstrating very positive momentum, creating the most favourable conditions for strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation.”
The Uzbek delegation travelled to Ankara to take part in the fourth meeting of the Joint Strategic Planning Group, co-chaired by Bakhtiyor Saidov and his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan.
The parties expressed satisfaction with the results of the “4+4” mechanism meeting, which was held with the participation of the foreign, interior, and defence ministers, as well as the heads of the intelligence services of Uzbekistan and Türkiye. They also stressed the importance of implementing the updated Action Plan signed during the meeting.
The Joint Strategic Planning Group meeting also served as an effective platform for discussing preparations for the fourth meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council, to be co-chaired by the presidents of Uzbekistan and Türkiye and also planned to take place in Ankara.
