Uzbekistan weighs joining Georgia's Anaklia deep-sea port project

Uzbekistan is considering participating in the construction of Georgia's Anaklia deep-sea port, Laziz Kudratov, the Uzbek Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade has stated.

According to the ministry, once completed, the Anaklia port will be capable of receiving vessels of all types, Caliber.Az reports, citing Uzbek media.

It said the port is expected to become a key hub on international transport routes, including the proposed China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan corridor.
