Uzbekistan, Georgia discuss development of strategic partnership

Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze have discussed the further development of the strategic partnership between the two countries during a phone call, Uz Daily reports.

The report said the sides discussed increasing bilateral trade and deepening industrial cooperation.

The talks focused on implementing agreements reached during Mirziyoyev’s state visit to Georgia on July 2–3 this year.

They also exchanged views on strengthening transport connectivity, highlighting the importance of making effective use of the infrastructure of Georgia’s Poti and Anaklia ports.

Mirziyoyev also congratulated Kobakhidze on his birthday, wishing him good health, well-being and continued prosperity for the Georgian people.
