Uzbekistan grants its highest honour to Kazakhstan’s president
Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has bestowed the country’s highest state honour, the Order of Friendship of the Highest Degree, on Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
According to Caliber.Az, the announcement was published on the website of the Uzbek presidency.
The ceremony took place at the Kuksaroy residence, where Mirziyoyev highlighted Tokayev’s personal contribution to strengthening friendship, strategic partnership and allied ties between the two nations.
He stressed that, through joint efforts, relations between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan had developed rapidly and could now be regarded as exemplary.
Mirziyoyev also underscored the expanding trade turnover between the two countries and the implementation of major projects in industry, agriculture, energy and transport.
The Uzbek leader further praised Tokayev’s commitment to promoting peace initiatives, both regionally and on the international stage.
In his response, Tokayev thanked Mirziyoyev for the honour and expressed confidence that bilateral relations would continue to deepen.
