Uzbekistan's university to compete in military-national "Patriot Games" in Belarus
Students from Uzbekistan will be participating in the 3rd edition of the military-patriotic competition “Patriot Games” in Belarus.
The large-scale competitive event will be held among teams from Belarus, Russia and the Central Asian country in Grodno from April 15 to 18, Caliber.Az reports citing Belarus media.
Students from Uzbekistan's Samarkand State Medical University will be facing students from two Russian universities and six universities from Belarus.
According to the event's organizers, teams will compete in events such as equipment towing, volleyball, darts, and stages titled “Assault” and “Meeting Engagement.” The second day of the event will also include a military-applied relay race, titled a “Reconnaissance Biathlon,” and a military history quiz.
Since its inception, the event has been hosted by the Grodno State Medical University. More than 120 participants will take part in the competition, which will be held at the Zorka Yubileinaya children’s health camp.
"The goal of the patriotic initiative is comprehensive military-patriotic and physical education of student youth, fostering readiness to defend the Fatherland based on the example of the heroism of participants of the Great Patriotic War and internationalist soldiers, developing moral and willpower qualities, promoting a healthy lifestyle and military-applied sports, and strengthening student communities through the spirit of healthy competition,” the organizers emphasized.
