Venezuela approves investment agreement with Türkiye
Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro signed a decree on the air of the TV program "With Maduro +" to finalize Caracas' ratification of the Agreement on the Promotion and Mutual Protection of Investments signed by his country and Türkiye, Anadolu Agency reported.
Turkish Ambassador to Venezuela Aydan Karamanoglu was also invited to the weekly program.
The head of state expressed confidence that the document will take relations between Venezuela and Türkiye to an even higher level.
Maduro also conveyed greetings to his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Ambassador Karamanoglu, for his part, noted that Türkiye provides full support to Venezuela.
"This agreement is extremely important in terms of strengthening economic ties between our brotherly countries," the diplomat said.
Karamanoglu said the 4th meeting of the Joint Cooperation Commission will be held on May 21-22. The ambassador added that the 2nd fair of Turkish goods in Caracas is scheduled for September 26-28.
Venezuela and Türkiye signed the Agreement on Promotion and Mutual Protection of Investments on July 21, 2023 in Istanbul.
