Voter bribery probe reaches Mother Armenia bloc leader's doorstep

Law enforcement authorities have conducted a search at the apartment of Karen Simonyan, head of the Mother Armenia bloc's faction in the Gyumri Council of Elders.

The search is currently underway at Simonyan's residence, with investigators carrying out procedural measures as part of an ongoing criminal case, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.

The Anti-Corruption Committee said the operation is linked to a criminal investigation involving supporters of the Armenia bloc, who are suspected of voter bribery.

No further details regarding the search or potential charges have been disclosed. Authorities have not yet commented on whether any individuals have been detained in connection with the investigation.
