Warships, special units and assault troops take part in Kazakhstan’s Caspian drills photo

03 December 2025 16:36

Kazakhstan’s Naval Forces have launched a new training period by placing their formations and military units on the highest level of combat readiness.

As reported by Caliber.Az, citing the Kazakh Ministry of Defence, personnel were rapidly deployed to designated areas, where they immediately began executing training and combat tasks. A division consisting of various types of naval vessels proceeded to an assigned zone within Kazakhstan’s sector of the Caspian Sea.

During the deployment, ship crews practised key elements of naval training, carried out a series of coordinated exercises, and demonstrated their preparedness to fulfil their operational missions effectively under a range of conditions.

Simultaneously, specialised units conducted inspections of the underwater environment of the seaport to identify any potential threats. In parallel, servicemen from an airborne assault battalion ensured the facility’s protection and security, rehearsing actions aimed at preventing sabotage.

These extensive activities form part of a broader assessment of the combat readiness of Kazakhstan’s armed forces, which began on December 1. Units across the country were placed on alert and began moving to training grounds and military centres. The nationwide training exercises are scheduled to conclude on December 5.
