Washington, Tbilisi discuss Middle Corridor cooperation
Georgia’s deputy foreign minister discussed investments in the Middle Corridor at the US Department of Commerce.
According to Caliber.Az, citing Georgian media, Lasha Darsalia met with US Deputy Secretary of Commerce William Kimmitt and Jeffrey Kessler during a visit to Washington. Georgia’s ambassador to the US, Tamar Taliashvili, also took part in the meeting.
The sides discussed the development of the Georgian-American partnership in logistics, regional trade, digital technologies, artificial intelligence, and innovation. The talks also covered ongoing infrastructure projects, prospects for further cooperation, and Georgia’s role in the development of the Middle Corridor. Particular attention was paid to the potential attraction of US investment in the high-tech sector.
