Weather disruption sends Moscow–Fergana flight to Namangan airport
28 January 2026 10:40
A passenger flight travelling from Moscow to Fergana was unable to land at its scheduled destination on January 28 and was instead redirected to the alternate airport in the city of Namangan.
According to Caliber.Az, citing local media, Uzbekistan Airways confirmed the diversion in a statement issued by its press service.
The airline explained that flight HY9628, operating on the route from Moscow’s Vnukovo Airport to Fergana, was rerouted due to unfavourable weather conditions at Fergana Airport. Uzbekistan Airways added that further updates regarding the flight’s status and revised arrival time would be provided later.
