"Welcome to Germany": Azerbaijani ambassador greets Pashinyan in Armenian VIDEO
Azerbaijan’s ambassador to Germany, Nasimi Aghayev, welcomed Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in the Armenian language during a panel discussion at the German Council on Foreign Relations in Berlin.
“Welcome to Germany. This is the most stable and peaceful period in our relations, achieved by both of us. We have ensured that our children and grandchildren will not inherit this painful and long-standing conflict. And, I hope, they will always live in peace. Azerbaijan, of course, was the initiator of the peace agenda,” the ambassador said, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
The ambassador expressed hope that the Washington agreements will be fully implemented, including the TRIPP project, which will ensure an unobstructed route to Nakhchivan. He also mentioned the latest obstacle—the constitutional amendments in Armenia.
“We hope that this will also be resolved so that we can officially sign the peace treaty,” Aghayev added.
Pashinyan responded to the Azerbaijani ambassador: “Grateful for the warm welcome.”
