Who is RIA Novosti trying to deceive? Interview removed, but provocations continue
The management of RIA Novosti removed from the site the provocative interview with the "state minister" of Karabakh separatists Artak Beglaryan which drew a response in Azerbaijan. It should be noted that the interview was published on June 2-3.
In Azerbaijan, this step of the Russian state news agency was regarded as a gross violation of the Declaration on Allied Interaction between Azerbaijan and Russia, and the Foreign Ministry did not fail to mention: "An information disseminated by the Russian state news agency opposes the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and promotes slanderous nature and separatist tendencies, and it does not correspond to the spirit of friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Russia and, therefore, causes serious regret."
On the evening of June 3, access to RIA Novosti was blocked in Azerbaijan.
Today it also became known that the State Migration Service of Azerbaijan denied the issuance of permission to work within the country’s territory for the Editor-in-Chief of the Sputnik Azerbaijan news agency, Veronika Antonova-Trizno, and her husband, the press service producer at Sputnik Azerbaijan Pavel Antonov. At the same time, the residence permit in the country was automatically revoked.
Meanwhile, even though RIA Novosti removed the interview with Beglaryan from its website, the news agency's feed still "contains" the comment of the "deputy" of the Karabakh proxies from May 28.
It is also noteworthy that the editorial office of RIA Novosti positions all the news concerning the events in Khankendi as taking place in the capital of "NKR" - "Stepanakert".
