Wizz Air performs "lowest airport landing" in Greece VIDEO
Brits are gobsmacked at the heart-stopping snaps taken by holidaymakers which captured the moment an Airbus jet operated by Wizz Air made the “lowest ever landing” at an airport.
Bystanders looked as though the plane passed just over their heads at Skiathos Alexandros Papadiamantis Airport in Greece on August 7.
The island airport was filmed as the Airbus A321neo approached the crystal blue waters of the Mediterranean, reports Daily Star, citing the Mirror.
In the video, boats bobbed peacefully below and the Wizz Air plane tries to touch down moments after clearing the perimeter fence at the Skiathos Airport.
The incredible landing was shown in the clip where the roar of the engines masked the yelps of plane watchers below.
The flight came within metres of the tourists’ heads as the wheels headed to the tarmac.
