Woman killed, 11 injured in minibus crash in Türkiye’s Diyarbakır province
A woman has been killed and 11 others injured, four of them seriously, in a traffic accident involving a minibus in Türkiye’s southeastern Diyarbakır province.
The accident occurred in the Lice district on the Diyarbakır–Bingöl highway, where a minibus lost control for an unknown reason and overturned near the settlement of Güçlü, Caliber.Az reports via Turkish media.
Emergency teams, including medical personnel, firefighters, AFAD search and rescue units, and gendarmerie forces, were dispatched to the scene.
Rescue teams pulled 50-year-old Ganime Yıldızhan from the vehicle, but she was pronounced dead at the scene. The 11 injured passengers were transported to nearby hospitals, with four reported to be in critical condition.
An investigation has been launched into the circumstances of the crash.
