World of Tanks server to disconnect for Russians

Wargaming, the developer of World of Tanks and World of Warplanes games, has announced the decision to shut down its server, which allowed players from Russia and the CIS to play online.

These remarks came from the project website. 

It is noted that the World of Warplanes CIS server will be stopped. “We have scheduled this outage in 180 days, namely on December 13, 2022,” the company explained.

Purchases in the World of Warplanes premium store and on Steam will be also disabled for the players of this server.

At the same time, until December 13, players are allowed to continue playing World of Warplanes without additional restrictions.

Wargaming has clarified that players may be able to transfer their World of Warplanes account from the CIS server to the European server. The development team promised to reveal the details of this transition later.
