WUF13 assemblies hold joint closing session in Baku to shape urban policy

The joint closing session of the Assemblies is taking place within the framework of the 13th Session of the United Nations World Urban Forum (WUF13).

The session is designed to consolidate discussions held throughout the forum and translate them into overarching conclusions, while identifying key priorities for future global urban action, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

During the meeting, representatives from each assembly are presenting their key messages, proposals and initiatives. These contributions will be synthesized to highlight common priorities and shared goals in sustainable urban development.

The session is also addressing major international frameworks, including the New Urban Agenda and the Baku Call to Action. Participants are engaging in interactive discussions to help shape the forum’s final outcomes.

Organisers said the closing session aims to align diverse perspectives and define concrete steps in areas such as housing provision, urban governance and sustainable city development.
