Yerevan airport police ban Russian journalist to enter Armenia
Russian journalist and publisher, founder of the News Media holding Aram Gabrelyanov has been banned to enter Armenia.
He is on the list of undesirable people, Caliber.Az reports citing Sputnik Armenia.
“When he arrived in Yerevan, he was asked to wait, then the airport police officers said that there were problems with his passport. In the end, it turned out that he was on the list of unwanted people,” the source said.
According to the data, the journalist has already changed his ticket and is going to return to Russia via another flight.
Gabrelyanov arrived in Yerevan to give a lecture as part of a training for journalists, which was organised by former head of the office of the second president Viktor Soghomonyan.
Gabrelyanov harshly criticised the Armenian authorities and accused them of an anti-state position. He periodically published on his Telegram channel information regarding the activity of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, his wife and relatives.
