Yerevan daily about price list of Russian peacekeepers One truck – $1,000
Caliber.Az has recently written about frequent attempts at smuggling via vehicles of the Russian peacekeeping contingent and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) on the territories in Azerbaijan's Karabakh region, which are under temporary Russian peacekeeper control.
This information was confirmed on February 2 by the Armenian media, in particular, the Yerevan-based daily Hraparak.
"We have learned that some peacekeepers have also begun to profit from the Karabakh 'tragedy' (our quotes – ed.) and are transporting part of the cargo for an appropriate fee. Armenian businessmen, philanthropists, and people trying to deliver essential goods to the population of Karabakh are charged up to $1,000 for the transportation of cargo by one car. The amount of money varies, they charge from 20,000 drams [$50] to several hundred thousand drams, depending on the price and quantity of cargo," the newspaper writes.
