Yerevan daily: Over half a million dollars anonymously transferred to Pashinyan's spouse's fund
Anonymous donations to the "My Step" fund headed by the wife of Armenian Prime Minister Anna Hakobyan continue.
"During this year, many donors to the fund again chose to remain in the shadows. In 2021-2022 there were two anonymous dollar transfers amounting to $300,000 and $5,000 respectively and nine anonymous money transfers in Armenian currency totaling 109 million 636,468 drams. The total amount in dollar equivalent exceeds $550,000," Caliber.Az reports citing the Yerevan-based "Zhokhovurd" newspaper.
"For the anonymous donations, the current representatives of Pashinyan's government, ruling party deputy Lena Nazaryan and Prime Minister's Chief of Staff Araik Harutyunyan sued the 'Yerevan' foundation several years ago to find out the identity of those who transferred anonymous amounts of over 100 thousand drams. And today, for the same authorities, 'the situation has changed' and they see nothing unusual in the anonymous transfers of tens of thousands of dollars to the foundation of the Prime Minister's wife. Perhaps the name of anonymous donations conceals the relationship between Pashinyan and the businessmen, or the secret of 'finding a common language' between them," the newspaper notes.
