Yerevan deepens strategic dialogue with NATO-affiliated diplomats
Armenian Minister of Defence Suren Papikyan held a meeting with ambassadors of several NATO-accredited countries, to underline Yerevan’s commitment to deepening its defence cooperation and strategic dialogue with the Alliance.
Minister Papikyan provided a comprehensive overview of Armenia’s ongoing defence sector reforms and the broader transformation of the country’s Armed Forces, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
He underscored the significant role NATO has played in supporting these efforts, particularly in terms of capacity-building, interoperability, and modernization.
During the discussions, the sides explored the current trajectory and future outlook of Armenia–NATO relations, reaffirming mutual interest in advancing bilateral and multilateral cooperation. Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of aligning Armenia’s defence structures with international standards and enhancing operational readiness through continued collaboration with NATO partners.
The dialogue also addressed broader regional and international security dynamics.
